Ricoh Pro C9500

The Pro C9500 is what happens when Ricoh strips the specialty ambitions out of its imaging platform and optimizes purely for throughput. Four stations, CMYK, 115 A4 pages per minute as standard and 135 ppm with the Productivity Upgrade Kit, at the same 2400 x 4800 dpi VCSEL resolution as the C7500. Sheets run to 330.2 x 487.7 mm SRA3+ with banner support up to 1,260 mm.

Two engineering choices define the machine. Cold-pressure fusing dramatically reduces paper curl and energy consumption, keeping sheets flat for finishing even on long unattended runs. And the paper infrastructure is enormous: up to 18,100 sheets of feeding capacity means an operator can load a full shift's work and walk away. Full-speed printing holds across the whole 40-470 gsm range, so heavy-cover book work does not slow the schedule.

The duty cycle is rated at 2.6 million pages per month with sustained volumes up to about one million — genuine light-offset-replacement territory. Registration and color consistency at 135 ppm are offset-class, which is exactly the pitch: this is the press for shops replacing an aging light-production offset machine or consolidating several slower toner engines into one. New pricing runs from about USD 160,000 for the 115 ppm base to around USD 230,000 configured at 135 ppm.

In Southeast Asia the C9500 suits high-volume commercial and transactional printers, book printers and trade shops — operations where the per-page click rate and unattended running time matter more than a fifth color.
