The Indigo 7K is the current generation of the most successful B3 digital press family ever built, the direct descendant of the 7800 and 7900 that populate trade shops across Asia. It images at 812 dpi in 8-bit with 2438 x 2438 dpi HDI addressability and prints 120 A4 pages per minute in four colors on sheets up to 330 x 482 mm. Switch to three-color Enhanced Productivity Mode and output climbs to 160 ppm, while mono and two-color jobs run at 240 ppm.

What separates the 7K from every toner press is liquid ElectroInk. The ultra-thin ink film sits on the paper the way offset ink does, without the relief or gloss shift of dry toner, and the press carries up to seven ink stations. Beyond CMYK it runs white and premium white, fluorescent pink, yellow and green, invisible security inks, light cyan and magenta, silver, and on-press Pantone spot mixing covering roughly 97% of the Pantone gamut — the widest special-ink portfolio in B3 digital. One Shot color transfer lays down all separations in a single contact for perfect registration on synthetics.

On the money side, the 7K is almost always sold with a per-click service contract. A new configured press lands around USD 450,000-650,000, while HP Certified Pre-Owned and used 7-series machines (7800, 7900, 7K) trade between USD 100,000 and 350,000 depending on impression counts — which is how many Vietnamese printers first enter the Indigo world. The press is rated for up to about 2 million A4 color pages per month and handles 60-350 gsm uncoated and 80-350 gsm coated stock.

In Vietnam the 7K's natural home is the photobook and wedding-album lab — a distinctly large local niche that sustains a whole ecosystem of Indigo operators in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi — alongside premium marketing collateral, security printing and short-run luxury packaging.
