Food packaging has two jobs that pull in different directions: keep the food safe and fresh, and sell it on the counter or in a delivery photo. The material that touches the food comes first. Paperboard for bakery and takeaway boxes is usually food-grade virgin board with a water-based or PE coating where grease or moisture is a risk. Pouches for dry snacks, dried fruit or nuts use a laminate chosen for the shelf life you need.
Label content matters as much as the print. Packaged food sold in Vietnam needs the mandatory label information set by Decree 43/2017/ND-CP (as amended by Decree 111/2021/ND-CP), such as product name, ingredients, net quantity, dates, origin and the responsible business. We lay out the dieline so this information has room and stays readable.
What the packaging must get right
Food-contact materials
Food-grade board, inks and coatings on any surface that touches food. Ask us for the plant’s food-contact test documents for your material.
Grease and moisture
Oily cakes, fried food and chilled items need a grease-resistant or PE-coated board, or a window film that does not fog.
Shelf life and barrier
Dry snacks for weeks need a simple laminate; nuts, coffee or export goods for months need a metallised or foil layer and a good seal.

Stand-up pouches with bottom gusset and resealable zipper, printed full colour with your design on a digital press, so there are no cylinder or plate costs and each design can be ordered from about 500 pieces. Choose the film: PET/PE (standard), OPP/PE (economical), PET/AL/PE foil (high barrier), kraft paper/PE or recyclable and compostable structures; matt, gloss or soft-touch finish, spot UV. Options: one-way degassing valve for coffee, clear window, tear notch, hang hole, round corners. Sizes for about 10 g up to 2 kg of product. Self-adhesive product labels printed with your brand and wound on rolls, die-cut to any shape: coated paper, white or clear BOPP, synthetic PP or silver/clear PET, with permanent, removable or freezer adhesive. Digital printing for short runs and many versions, flexo or offset for volume; matt or gloss varnish or lamination, hot foil, spot UV, embossing, multi-layer peel-back labels. Timing
Stock boxes and cups with a printed label can ship in days. Custom printed boxes and pouches typically take two to four weeks after artwork approval. Plan Mid-Autumn and Tết runs early: plants fill up weeks before.
